WELCOME TO EARTH 118 A.Q.
The place is Earth. Transformed by the great world quakes where huge planetary shifts, submersions and mass resurrections of land from the bottom of the sea have redefined the world as we know it. Risen continents and domed underwater cities are the Earth of today. Man, in his genius to survive, has triumphed and transported us into the Age of Light.
There are no more countries. Mega corporations have merged to form a unified planet under a ruling triumvirate. A man, a woman, and a splicer, created during the early experimental DNA splicing that rocked the twenty-first century. These are the leaders of the populous we call the Collective. Together, they govern the Unified Planet Earth and lived in peace… until now!
SANGELINO, CALIFRADO, UCF
Capital of the planet Earth, Sangelino is a single megalopolis city-state consisting of the combined land mass from San Francisco to San Diego, with Old Los Angeles at its center. Also called “The Upland,” the buildings of Sangelino are graceful and gargantuan as they stretch from the mountains to the Great Fissure crack. They spill like a glass and stone waterfall of civilization over the ridge into Upper Covax City. Sangelino is one of the best examples of man’s struggle to combine his natural environment with his technological achievements.
UNITED CO FEDERATION
The UCF unites those nations that were formerly the United States of America, the North Pole, Canada, Mexico, and Central America under one corporate symbol. Corporate leaders, still angry that their monopolies were broken at the first quarter of the 20th Century, stepped in to buy the multi-trillion-dollar debt that the United States, Canada, and Mexico were left with from the Oil Wars, compounded by the disasters of the Great Quakes of 2029. After the Corporate Wars ended and the corporate competition was disbanded for adding addictive chemicals to its formula, the remaining major soft drink companies merged and bought Canada, Alaska, and Central America. A small group of corporate leaders headed by a young Dante Labov joined to form a unified co-federation conglomerate under the red, black, blue, and white circular flag of the United Co Federation… the good old UC of F.
COVAX CITY
A huge underground urban development, Covax City grew out of the abandoned Los Angeles Metro System after the Great Quake. It started as the only place where underprivileged people could afford to own a home. However, due to DNA splicing experiments from early biological breeding labs and inferior Politia security forces, Covax City became the slums of the future. Rampant, immoral genetic sequence crossing, coupled with mutant viral infections made Covax City dark, lawless, and decadent… the one place you don’t go if you don’t have to.
Covax City honeycombs down the great wall of the fissure divide and deep into the wild, untamed subterranean western territories. Intricate and massive yawning caves form the Fissure Forests and reach far across the unfathomable Atomic Sea, with its massive ceiling of luminous purple nuclear algae. This dangerous underworld sits well below what was once the central North American continent, calling to anyone who would dare breech her deadly secrets and journey to the labyrinth prisons of the Core.
PANAZIA
After the Great Quake of 2029, South America sank to the ocean floor. Survivors who heeded the prophesies of a female mutant called Prima Poe, utilized Proton force field technology, defying the nay Sayers and skeptics. Great underwater domes were built over lands that were once portions of Chile, Brazil, Patagonia, and Argentina. These believers were the founders of the underwater world now called Panazia.
ATLANTIA
The sinking of South America caused the rise of a huge land mass named Atlantia. Named after its mystical predecessor, the ten-thousand-year-old ruins of Atlantis were discovered across the barren wastelands of what became the new frontier. Just like the Wild West of 1800’s America, treasures left by millenniums of sunken ships turned this new land into a rough, lawless territory ripe for looting and killing, and a breeding ground for mob-like gangs and ruthless warlords. The ancient treasures, the need for a new fuel source and the discovery of rich Deuterium mines sent many a family to pioneer the new frontier in the face of the dangers of Atlantia.
TOSADAE on MU
A land mass resurrected by the Great Quakes; Mu is an island. Mu, like Atlantia, is filled with ancient ruins and temples, some carbon dated as old as twelve thousand years. Reborn into a perfect climate a hundred miles off the coast of Japan, Mu became a paradise dedicated to education, universal religion, and historical study. Home to the greatest thinkers of earth outside Sangelino University, Mu is also the site of the new Politia Tosadae Academy of Police and Military Study.
